Privacy Policy.
Draft pending legal review. Items outlined in yellow must be confirmed or completed by the legal team before publishing. This notice is intended to cover Colombia (Law 1581 of 2012 and Decree 1377 of 2013), the European Union (GDPR, Italy hub), Mexico (LFPDPPP 2025), Argentina (Law 25,326) and the United States.
1. Who is responsible for your data
The data controller is Akermann LLC, [tax ID / registration number], with address at [registered address, city, country] (“Akermann”, “we”).
Contact for any privacy matter: sales@akermann.co [or a dedicated address, e.g. privacy@akermann.co] · +1 (484) 460 8491.
Akermann works through teams in the USA, Colombia, Mexico, Argentina and Italy. [If a local entity acts as controller or representative in a given country — e.g. an EU representative under GDPR art. 27 — list it here.]
2. What data we collect
We only collect the data you choose to send us through the contact form or by email:
- Name, company and email address.
- The service you are interested in and the details you share about your project.
- The date and time you gave your authorization, and the version of this policy you accepted.
We do not ask for sensitive data and we ask you not to include it in your message. This website does not use cookies, analytics or advertising trackers. [Update this section if analytics, pixels or chat tools are added — a cookie banner will then be required.]
3. Why we use it
- To answer your inquiry, prepare proposals and quotes, and follow up on a potential project.
- To manage the business relationship if you become a client.
- To comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell or rent your personal data, and we do not use it for automated decision-making. We will only send you marketing communications if you separately ask for them. [Confirm whether newsletters / marketing emails will be sent.]
4. Legal basis and authorization
We process your data on the basis of the prior, express and informed authorization you give when you tick the box in the contact form (Colombia, Mexico, Argentina; GDPR art. 6(1)(a)), and, where applicable, because it is necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract (GDPR art. 6(1)(b)). You may revoke your authorization at any time, without affecting processing carried out before revocation.
5. Who we share it with
Only with providers that help us run our operations (website hosting, email and form services) and with the Akermann team members who need it to handle your request, under confidentiality obligations. [List the actual providers once defined: hosting, form/CRM service, email.]
International transfers. Because our team works across several countries, your data may be accessed from or stored in the USA, Colombia, Mexico, Argentina and the European Union. When data leaves the EU or Colombia we apply the safeguards required by law [e.g. EU Standard Contractual Clauses; transfers declared to the SIC where required].
6. How long we keep it
Inquiries that do not become a project are kept for up to [24 months] after our last contact, then deleted. Client data is kept for the duration of the relationship and the periods required by commercial and tax law.
7. Your rights
You can, free of charge: know, access and obtain a copy of your data; update and correct it; request its deletion; object to or restrict its use; request portability (EU); and revoke your authorization. In Mexico these are your ARCO rights. In California you have the right to know, delete and correct your personal information; we do not sell or share it.
To exercise them, write to sales@akermann.co with the subject “Personal data request”, your name and what you are asking for. We will reply within the legal deadlines [Colombia: 10 business days for queries and 15 for claims; GDPR: 1 month; Mexico: 20 days — confirm].
If you are not satisfied with our answer you can contact your data protection authority:
| Colombia | Superintendencia de Industria y Comercio (SIC) |
|---|---|
| European Union / Italy | Garante per la protezione dei dati personali, or the authority of your EU country |
| Mexico | The authority designated under the 2025 LFPDPPP [confirm name] |
| Argentina | Agencia de Acceso a la Información Pública (AAIP) |
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data against loss, misuse and unauthorized access, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and restricted access by our team.
9. Children
This website is aimed at businesses. We do not knowingly collect data from people under 18.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The current version and its effective date will always be published on this page; if the changes are substantial we will ask for your authorization again where the law requires it.
11. Trademarks and portfolio
All trademarks, logos and brand names shown on this website are the property of their respective owners and are displayed as portfolio work produced by Akermann for its clients.
